Presented by Ankur Productions' Pangaa Project and Ignite Theatre Company

Who are you as you move about your city?  How do you follow the rules and boundaries when you're not even sure what and where they are?  This new piece of theatre by Ignite (formerly Knightswood Youth Theatre) uses music and movement to explore the joys and fears of living in Glasgow.

PANGAA (chaos in Punjabi) is a year-long Scottish Arts Council Lottery Inspire funded project created by Ankur Productions, which invites young people (ages 14-26) from primarily, although not exclusively, Glasgow’s Black and Asian communities, to engage in a broad range of Urban arts. From Parkour to Street Dance, Martial Arts to Rapping, PANGAA will broaden participants horizons and encourage them to creatively explore the lives they lead and the issues confronting them as young adults. Check out PANGAA workshops running across the city at www.ankurproductions.org.uk

Ignite Theatre brings together young people aged 14 to 18 living in the Scotstoun, Knightswood and Yoker areas of Glasgow. The group is a mix of local Glaswegians, asylum seekers and refugees,  all brimming with fresh talent and a proven commitment to creating new and dynamic work.  The company boast many successes, including being awarded the prestigious Philip Lawrence Award (2008), celebrating great young people working together to develop and enhance mutual understanding and friendships. Ignite are looking for new members! Email Ankur Productions for further information on how to join.
